Film Photos

Last year, my partner gave me my first film camera as a birthday gift. It is a small and compact camera with autofocus that is not too hard for me to use for daily photography or travel. It is an interesting experience shooting with film cameras because I have to plan a bit more when I take photos. Also, I do not know what the photos will look like, which adds some excitement to the process of developing the film. The outcomes were not always perfect, but it was satisfying seeing some photos beyond my expectations.

Some photos from when I was traveling in Berlin. I love that the photos have a vintage atmosphere, which goes well with the historical buildings.

But most of the time, I take photos in Vancouver. Vancouver is a lovely place to take street photos, with views from the ocean to the mountain. It is not the city that has the most urban vibe, but it still has plenty of events going on, especially in the summer.

A music event in Yaletown (Vancouver).

A dog at Queen Elizabeth Park (Vancouver). One thing I extremely adore about living in Vancouver is that there are lots of dogs in the city :)

East Cafe on East Hastings Street, Vancouver. It is a lovely coffee shop, and my partner and I went back again for a live Jazz performance.

A huge plant shop around Steveston Fisherman's Market in Richmond.

Around Steventon's Fisherman's Market. The weather was not sunny (which is common here), but somehow matched the color of the boats.
